More athletes are promoting the benefits of hemp-derived CBD, or cannabidiol as a way to get healthy, without the high. Former NFL players Nate Eachus (Kansas City Chiefs) and Ron Solt (Philadelphia Eagles/Indianapolis Colts) went on the record for Times Leader while promoting CBD products in Pennsylvania.
Eachus is looking to purchase additional acreage to grow hemp for the expanding market. Products that contain CBD are being used to treat anxiety, epilepsy, fibromyalgia, and inflammation in children, adults, and pets. Solt says that he uses CBD and that it works for him. While doctors in Florida can only recommend medical marijuana for qualifying conditions, they are telling their patients to use CBD.
Unlike it’s cousin THC, which gives you a “high”, CBD has NO “high” with therapeutic benefits.
