Inflammation effects people who have diseases like lupus, colitis, arthritis, and even multiple sclerosis. When using CBD oil to treat any inflammation, chronic or not, it activates the CB2 receptors found all over your body with no psychoactive effect.
In a study done at Imperial College London, researchers found that cannabidiol (CBD) reduces inflammation in mice by 50% at the dosage. In a separate study by GW Pharmaceuticals, CBD could be used for treating diabetes, nausea, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and bowel disorders.
A further study by the University of Mississippi Medical Center shows that CBD is helpful in lessing the impact of immflamuation on oxidative stress, decreasing the risk of organ damage and dysfunction. Oxidative stress and inflammation are the contributing factors in a number of diseases such as type 1 and 2 diabetes, RA, hypertension, atherosclerosis, metabolic syndrome, depression, and Alzheimer’s disease. Scientists from the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD showed that cannabinoids can suppress inflammation and neuropathic pain.
